Referrals – The best way to find employees is through referrals. Whether it be through former employees or a referral through a member of your current staff, you’re more likely to hire someone that will work for a longer term.
Advertising – Those looking to hire employees to work for hourly pay find that advertisements pay off. Traditional media outlets are the best places to advertise that help is wanted. In addition, using eye-catching headlines and interesting job descriptions will help, as well.
Walk-In – Did you know that those walking in off the street to apply for a position are potentially better workers than those that you might find through a job board? That’s right. It has been reported that walk-ins are more likely to be dedicated to the occupation. They’re more reliable and trustworthy, as well.
Schools – While this might not seem like a productive way to find employees, it’s actually a great idea. Universities and colleges are full of students looking for a part time job to fill their time during years of schooling.
Customers – Do you have a long standing relationship with a few customers that you trust? If so, you might want to inquire about individuals they know who need a job. It’s possible that they’ll only offer up interested, dedicated workers, as they don’t want to ruin their relationship with your company by offering less reliable candidates.
